    Lucknow: Late on Sunday night, a threat to attack Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with a bomb was received on the CUG number. This led to the filing of a FIR at the Mahanagar police station. Chief Constable Uddham Singh’s allegations resulted to the filing of the FIR. The caller informed the head constable on March 3 that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would be the target of a bomb.

    According to the police statement

    The caller terminated the phone the moment the officer asked where he was phoning from. Akhilesh Mishra, the SHO of Mahanagar, reported that the owner of the phone number had been the subject of a formal complaint filed under Section 506 of the IPC, which deals with criminal intimidation.

    In the last few months, CM Yogi had received two bomb threats. A comparable threat was made in January’s first week earlier. The accused had threatened to use bombs to destroy the Ayodhya Ram shrine and the chief minister. The UP STF apprehended the two accused who made the threat in the Vibhuti Khand neighbourhood of Gomti Nagar, the capital Lucknow. The accused were Tahar Singh and Omprakash Mishra, both of whom lived in the state’s Gonda district.
