Chamkaur Sahib (Ropar), August 2: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann paid respects today at Gurdwara Sri Katlgarh Sahib, praying for peace, progress, and prosperity across the state.

Emphasizing the vision of making Punjab lead in every field, he said his government is inspired by the teachings of the great Sikh Gurus and is committed to accelerating development.Mann called this visit special, as the historic site is where Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s sons attained martyrdom.
The CM assured comprehensive development of this sacred place and shared that a detailed plan has already been prepared for its growth. Efforts will leave no stone unturned to honor the site’s spiritual and historical significance.
Responding to questions, Mann spoke about the state’s new land pooling policy aimed at planned and sustainable growth, ensuring all stakeholders’ voices, including farmers, are heard. He reiterated the government’s commitment to make people-centric decisions.

Addressing another query, Mann accused previous Congress leaders of supporting gangsters, leading to emboldened antisocial elements. Now, he noted, these very leaders’ families face threats from those same groups, reflecting the consequences of past actions.
