At the 71st National Film Awards announced on Friday at New Delhi’s National Media Centre, Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey were jointly awarded the Best Actor title.
Shah Rukh Khan received the honor for his role in the blockbuster Jawan, while Vikrant Massey was recognized for his performance in 12th Fail. Celebrated actress Rani Mukerji was named Best Actress for her powerful portrayal in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.
Additionally, the film Kathal was selected as the Best Hindi Film, highlighting the diversity and talent in contemporary Indian cinema. The ceremony honored performances that left a strong impact on audiences and critics alike, showcasing stories rooted in real-life struggles and societal themes.
